Opening Night of Winterlude!

Winterlude began last night with festivities at the Museum of Civilizations, including various performers, singers, dancers, activities, free admission to the Museum (which was open until 11pm), and fantastic fireworks!

Mammoth-smoting stilt-walkers, fire-breathing buskers, and Aboriginal dancers in full traditional wear dancing to hip hop.

We checked out the Children's Museum which neither of us had visited before, and it's incredible! I was so impressed by the attention to detail in the amazing displays.

Oh, and did I mention Michael Smith (swoon!) was the star chef of the Taste of Winterlude in the Grand Hall? Wish I'd had tickets!
